Agustina Gatto
Director

Agustina is an author of film, theater, TV, and a web series. She is also a director, actress and teacher of script and dramaturgy.

She has received various honors and awards in Argentina such as the prestigious Primer Premio Municipal de Teatro, which has been awarded to well-known authors like Alfonsina Storni and Jorge Luis Borges. She also received an award from Instituto Nacional del Teatro y el Fondo Nacional de las Artes in several of its competitions. In 2020 Argentores gave her an award as the best author of web content.

She is co-author of the film “El Padre de mis Hijos”. Her feature film script “Tango Kid” was distinguished by the award Mexican Bengala and won the INCAA script development contest. She is a scriptwriter for “El Cielo sobre Riace”, a documentary premiered at the 66th Taormina Festival (Italy, 2020) and the one that participated in the IV International Human Rights Film Festival of Panama – BannabáFest (Panama, 2020), where it obtained a special mention as “Best Documentary”. Also she wrote “Chon”, a documentary about old age.

For TV and the web, she wrote “Combinaciones”, winner of the Martín Fierro award for “Best Fiction in Internet”. She was a dialogue speaker for “Farsantes” (TV channel), which won the Martín Fierro gold award. Co-author of “Embarcados a Europa” (TV Pública) and scriptwriter of “Nosotras”, a non-fiction series (Cosmopolitan TV). Created and scripted “El Trabajo y Yo” , awarded at the Indie Film Festival, and “Mujeres Trabajando” issued by Public TV. She was editor of the “Los Creadores” which series was broadcast by Telefe and won the Martín Fierro award.

Her theatrical works are published in Entropía, Interzona, INT, Excursiones and Libros Drama and were staged in Argentina, Cuba, Chile, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Mexico, and Ecuador. In 2019 Interzona published her book “Femenino Masculino”.

She is a teacher at El Laboratorio de Guión and Universida Da Vinci.

In 2021 she filmed her first short film as a director “Todos los que no pueden algo”.

Agustina currently works as a reader for the production company KAPOW and is in the post-production of her miniseries “Victoria”, which she wrote and directed in co-production with Flixxo.
